  We brought one of our dogs because he has sudden onset of aggression and actually attacked my husbands leg. I explained this to them when I called and made the appointment. I asked if there was a side door we can bring him through because we were nervous to bring him in. The woman said yes but for one of us to let them know when we got there so they can instruct us. My husband went in and let them know we were there and walks out with this little muzzle. So, I walked in and asked how they expect us to put this on him and the girl actually started to give me instructions. I stop her and say that I know how to put it on but being he just maulled my husband and has sudden onset of aggression how can they expect us to even try? Of course, it was never relayed why we were coming in or that there was aggression issues and a recent bit. So now, they must not of wanted us to even bring the dog in. We were told to leave the dog in the car with cracked window and that they would put the 2 of us in a room and the Dr would come in and discuss the situation and our options. We were like really... its kind of warm out not to mention he's a 130lb+ dog with a lot of long hair but ok. We waited in the room so long we started taking turns going out and running the a/c. Then the Dr comes in and says "who are you" and asks me to explain what's going on. I tell her. I also tell her what the breeder said she has experienced... Lyme. She totally ignored it and went right into our 2 options.... quarantining the dog at home ourselves for 10 days then euthanizing or euthanizing him now but having to pay extra for rabies testing bc before 10 days. She was so insensitive and so quick to kill the dog and when I said that to her and asked what about underlying medical issues that may be causing the sudden aggression she attacked me with, " he attacked one of the family!" So, I said, " oh, right but it's ok for me to take the same dog that attacked a member of his family and bring him home and try to quarantine him ourselves for 10days with no help or anything from you?" I was so upset and disgusted, I turned to my husband and said, " I'm out of here " and I went out to the car my dog has been stuck in for an hour now. Doesn't this Dr know that animals are a member of the family as well? A loved one gets sick whether mentally or physically, do we say it's time to kill them? This Dr is an insensitive human being that I wouldn't have work on a rat!!! There wasn't an ounce of compassion, sympathy or kindness!! I don't know what the outcome of our situation will be and probably will have to end up euthanizing our dog but this animal hospital will not be doing it, I will never go back!!!
